(Penstemon procerus) Small lavender flowers in a compact flower spike, 15 to 45 cm tall, blooms, May to July. Suitable for a rock garden.
Planting Instructions: Seed in early spring or late fall. Press seeds into the soil and cover just enough to ensure good contact with the soil. Germination rates are low. Will not bloom until the second year. Removing faded flowers will encourage a second bloom in August or September.
Habitat: Usually found in large colonies around slough margins, in shelter of shrubs, and in openings in woodlands.
