(Liatrus ligulistylis) Pink to lilac flower heads arranged in a spike, grows 30-76 cm tall, blooms July and August. May take three years to bloom.
Planting Instructions: Seed in early June or late fall. Sow shallowly, 3 to 6 mm (1/8-1/4” ) deep.
Wildlife: Goldfinches eat the seeds of blazingstar.
Habitat: Moist places, slough margins, and forest openings through out Parklands. Rare in Prairies.
